The establishment of Khalsa University, Amritsar which is the first Private University in the entire Majha region of Punjab is an auspicious omen. The University is being run under the aegis of Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar which has an unwavering commitment to Teaching & Research excellence and disseminating the philosophy of Sikhism. The society which is the premier-most institute of higher learning was established in 1892 and has an experience of 132 years in the field of Education. Its Management led by the Chancellor, S. Satyajit Singh Majithia and Pro-Chancellor S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina has a visionary outlook finding inspiration in the lofty ideals of the Great Gurus who have always advocated a progressive attitude of mind, giving up all that is dogmatic, according due value to intelligence and logic.
